Supervisor Peggy Judd is a lifelong resident of Cochise County, Arizona, who has resided in the City of Willcox her whole life.  She and her husband of 36 years, Kit Judd, have 5 children and 14 grandchildren.  She is the niece of former Cochise County Sheriff Jimmy Judd.

Public service has been a cornerstone of Judd’s life and this new chapter as Cochise County Supervisor is a welcomed challenge.  She is dedicated to creating and making time for each constituent and meeting their needs throughout District 3.  She is available most Mondays and Wednesdays in Willcox at the County Complex and most Thursdays and Fridays in Benson at the County Court Building.  She is always available via telephone.  As a County Supervisor, she is a member of the SEAGO Executive Committee, and is Chairman of the local board for the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP).

Judd is a former Member of the Arizona House of Representatives and served in the 2011-2012 Legislature when Arizona celebrated its Centennial Anniversary.  While serving rural Arizona, she was a member of the Agriculture and Water, Energy and Natural Resources, and Health and Human Services committees.  Although she valued her time at the State level, her interests and heart has always been serving her local communities where she can make a distinct difference.

Judd earned her certification in Architectural Drafting from the Phoenix Institute of Technology in 1981 and her B.S. in Anthropology from the University of Arizona in 2003. Her professional career experience follows a track of service and leadership to the public:

  • Cake decorator at Bob’s IGA Grocery Store Bakery from 1986 to 2003
  • Manager at the Willcox Jewelry store from 1991 to 1993
  • Secretary at the Willcox Real Estate Company from 1993 to 2015
  • Substitute teacher for the Willcox Unified Schools K-12 from 2000 to 2002
  • Freelance architectural drafting technician from 1978

Mrs. Judd has served in leadership roles both on the Rex Allen Days, Inc. Committee and the Willcox Parks and Recreation Commission for the past ten years.  She is currently an active member of the Willcox Rotary Club and has recently been elected to serve as President in 2018.  Adding to her varied experiences and educational achievements, she has completed several leadership and advocacy trainings on the topics of a wide range of subjects from Community and Economic Development to Handicapped Services.  She has also volunteered as the Special Olympics Coordinator in Willcox and a decade of Summer Youth Show Choir, in the past.  She is currently serving on the Public Affairs Committee for the St. David Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is a Youth Summer Theater Director in training and is also a volunteer member of the Northern Cochise Community Hospital Auxiliary.  Her hobbies are camping, reading, playing clarinet and piano, being a grandmother and collecting pictures and facts about her grandmothers and other ancestors and saving them for posterity.
