The Civil Division of the County Attorney’s Office represents the following County elected officials—Board of Supervisors, Sheriff, Treasurer, School Superintendent, Recorder and Assessor--along with their departments and staff.
The Civil Division also represents the County’s Public Fiduciary, fifteen fire districts, several special districts, and works with Cenpatico in conducting mental health commitments. Responsibilities include defending lawsuits against the County, prosecuting lawsuits on the County’s behalf, and advising the elected officials and staff.
The Civil Division also represents Cochise College and the City of Bisbee.
