The Felony Criminal Law Division of the Cochise County Attorney’s Office reviews all submitted felony investigations conducted in Cochise County; files felony complaints; submits felony cases to the Cochise County Grand Jury; and prosecutes indicted felony offenses in the Cochise County Superior Court.
The Criminal Law Division is broken down into the Drug Unit and the General Crimes Unit. The Drug Unit comprises three felony prosecutors, two legal secretaries and one filing clerk. The General Crimes Unit comprises five felony prosecutors, and two legal secretaries. The office also employs one administrative manager, one data coordinator, one intake clerk, and one receptionist.
The Criminal Law Division also prosecutes all petitions to revoke probation in those instances where previously adjudicated felons fail to comply with the terms and conditions of probation.
- Adult Diversion - responsible for supervising all adult deferred adjudication cases, including felonies and misdemeanors.
