Free seminar will cover current housing regulations
The Housing Authority of Cochise County will hold a free seminar aimed at educating landlords, tenants and Realtors on current regulations and issues.
This event will provide up-to-date and accurate information about the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, housing discrimination issues, and rights and responsibilities of both landlords and tenants.
It will also cover the provisions of the Arizona Landlord-Tenant Act.
Taking place on November 28, the presenter will be Cheri Horbacz, Director of Education & Outreach, Southwest Fair Housing Council, based in Tucson.
The three-hour, continuing education workshop will be held from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Cochise County complex, 4001 East Foothills Drive, Sierra Vista. Registration will be held between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
This course is authorized for credit through the Arizona Department of Real Estate.
The Housing Authority of Cochise County was established by the Board of Supervisors and is governed by a Board of Commissioners appointed from the local community. Its mission is to expand affordable housing options, promote home ownership and improve the quality of housing in Cochise County.
